Networking amidst pandemic

Two of our sales representatives along with our managing director, Mr. Manish Karkun visited Chandigarh, Punjab for client visits. Such in-person meetings had come to a halt ever since the world was exposed to Coronavirus. Although, the pandemic is still lurking around the corner; with proper sanitization and precautions, we were able to network face to face with existing as well as prospective clients. The meetings took place over a span of two days: 26th August 2021 and 27th August 2021.

Most of the clients visited by our team belonged to the Pharmaceuticals, Medical & Healthcare Industries which has been on a boom ever since the pandemic.   While some clients were ecstatic about the increase in the demand of their products, others seemed disappointed at the lack of demand owing to skewed demand-supply ratio. However, one area of common concern for all remained the unabated hike in freight charges.

To conclude: While we are happy to return back to normal methods of collaborating and are glad to be associated with such a welcoming customer base; we understand our clients’  concern about:

  • hike in freight rates
  • Container shortages
  • Vessel availability and delays

India and the global market alike are facing these issues and the freight forwarding industry at present awaits the situation to change for better.
